Do you see what I see

Thisisit… I can quilt, I can sew, but I am still learning. I wanted to add lines to a panelled quilt and was unsure of what to add.   After watching a wonky star tutorial (Missouri star quilt co), I decided I would make some. I love them as quirky as they are, so cut up the material and started sewing.

After making two blocks and excited at how good they looked I showed my family.

[although they are supportive over my sewing they don’t really participate.  When I ask for advice on colours or designs my husband looks blank at me. Normally saying “I don’t do this” or “not sure why are asking me”].

So my eldest daughter, who I think has a touch of OCD, can’t even look them, “they’re odd, that’s not right, I can’t even be in the same room as them”. Not what I was expecting as I loved them.  I then showed my husband,  “they look wrong, can’t focus on them properly”. I can’t believe these 2 little blocks have caused so much upset in our house.  Would anyone love them.   In comes my youngest.  She loves them, sees nothing wrong with them and would love to have them.  Hooray, but it has made me realise they are not for everyone. I will make more and then make something for my youngest.  Which will have to stay in her bedroom and can only be allowed out to torture her Dad and Sister….Thisisit
